Since its almost midterm season, I should blog about my life so far before I become too busy to blog anymore, haha.

I’m typing this from the Amtrak train right now, and my fingers are shaking so much that I can hardly type this. Why are my fingers shaking? Well, that’s because I very narrowly caught the train today, haha. It’s was like 3 minutes till departure, and I was running around looking for the wrong track for about 2 minutes, with a rolling suitcase and heavy backpack. I must’ve looked ridiculous. But thankfully, I caught the train just as the operator was locking the gates. He said to me that, “You’re very lucky” – or something like that. Praise the Lord! :D I was also getting a bit irritated with my mom while she was driving me to the station, since she was driving so slow… but now I feel bad because she spent like the whole weekend making mantao and baozi for me.

I love my mom though, because she’s super awesome and chill. :D  Even though she has weird ideas sometimes, she has them in my best interest. I’m really thankful to have such a great mom. Even though I wonder if my show of gratitude towards her is enough at times…

Anyways, school like in general is just… SUPER BUSY. I’m super sad that I don’t have free time anymore. :( On Mondays, I don’t go home till 7pm, on Tuesdays and Thursdays I don’t go home till 10pm… Because of Bible study and Epic Large group meetings. Wednesdays and Fridays are my only ‘free’ days. But even so, I have club meetings at 8pm on Wednesdays. As a result, I feel like collapsing and sleeping on the weekends.

But I really like my classes this quarter: Japanese 1 is fun – even though ratemyprofessor.com said that my professor likes to joke around too much and stuff, I think it makes the class more fun. And she’s so lively – a very good professor to take in the morning. I really enjoy learning Japanese so far, it’s fun to learn. It’s also kinda easy too – since the pronunciation isn’t weird or anything like that, and some Japaneses words are hugely influenced by English, and also the Chinese influence in the language can still be seen, and also because I used to be a big anime freak, haha.

Philosphy is alright. It makes people think, and stuff… and its fun as long people participate. But what I’m pissed off about is my textbook ordering fiasco. Okay, so I ordered the textbook from Amazon.com’s marketplace about on 9/17/08 from a seller who had most positive feedback, but very few feedback overall. What happened is that the textbook didn’t come after all – and I wasn’t alone in this problem… that seller got a lot of negative feedback now…and not just from me. I forgot to mention that I e-mailed the seller 3 times, but I never even got a reply from them.

Design is hella HARD. We’re learning how to use illustrator right now, which I have no experience on whatsoever. And I was unable to install it on my laptop, so now I have to stay on campus for my project, which again – NO FREE TIME. :( But it’s a major necessary hurdle for me to leap over if I want to continue on in Design. (Especially Graphic Design).

I really like my Sociology professor – he actually applies the concepts that we learn in class to day-to-day situations that he encountered before, and he has tons of interesting stories to tell.

About adjusting to an apartment lifestyle… it’s like a huge transition. I don’t like busing to school at times, since it takes FOREVER , and it’s always so crowded… and another adjustment is grocery shopping. Since my roommate and I don’t have a car, we either have to go with someone else or walk to the supermarket 2 blocks away – which isn’t that bad… I also don’t like how Davis has no Asian supermarkets. :( I need my chili bamboo shoots! And pork sung! And Bok Choy! >”<

My housemates and roommate are all pretty awesome though – even though I haven’t had much time to socialize (w/ my suitemates) or whatever. O.o

I guess I’ll blog more later – I’m feeling ready for a nap, haha. :D

Haven't updated for a while....

But yeah, everything is cool at the Davis front. I just wasted used time productively to watch the entire second season of the Office (which is so extremely cool). And I have a headache because I woke up too late (How late? Well... you don't need to know). The screw holding my glasses' lens also fell, so now I threaded it together using thread, which really worries me. What if it fell when biking???

But yeah, it's super cool because we finally finalized where we're going to live next year. :D I've been worrying for a while, enough so that I would become slightly snappish over too many questions about it. But yeah, that's over. I'm excited!!! (:

I recently got kinda depressed-ish, because I haven't been to church for a while (._.) either because sleeping too late on Saturday, or no rides on Sunday... but, God is good! And he woke me up yesterday to go to church, despite falling asleep around 4am. And I wasn't tired! :DDDD It does make a difference. :)

I haven't been home in a while which reminds me - Happy Lunar/Chinese New Year!! :D

Midterms are mostly over for me, I just have one more left!!! :DDD
